We have updated the plant biostimulant legislations page for Illinois !
Here’s a quick extract and the list of the key information you’ll find :
“Illinois has no biostimulant category. Products are classified by their claims, and most biostimulants are regulated as soil amendments under the Soil Amendment Act (505 ILCS 120), a statute in force since July 1992 and never amended. Products used for their nutrient content fall instead under the Illinois Fertilizer Act of 1961 (505 ILCS 80); products with pesticidal claims fall outside both.”
The update covers :
🌱 When registrations expire
🌱 What it means that Illinois is a substantiation state
🌱 The 2 provisions of the soil amendment act explained
🌱 Labelling requirements
